# Can you lock a Token description?

As of now you cannot lock a Token description.\
\ <mark style="color:yellow;">Though some tokens and projects have experimented with requiring the Token Asset Ownership to be sent to a burn address</mark>.&#x20;

Which locks the creation of subassets that could be minted and locks the possible future changing of the Token description.
